2007 Fall Meeting

This year’s Fall meeting was convened in beautiful downtown St. Petersburg, FL at the historic Renaissance Vinoy Hotel.  Attendance for the meeting set another record (since 2000) with 285 total attendees, including 47 spouses and 30 first-timers. 

Economist Alan Beaulieu kicked off the meeting with an informative and entertaining look into what 2008-2010 has in store for AHTD members.  He was followed by Mark Sanborn, one of America’s leading motivational speakers and author of The Fred Factor, a story of how passion in your work can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.  Thursday afternoon had several workshop topics such as CRM, wireless technologies, various automation standards, and the member benefits of Affiliated Distributors.  Thursday evening was highlighted by a record 27 new product showcases during the reception.

Friday started with elections of new Board and Executive Committee members, followed by a presentation by Paul Pease, co-author of the book Winners Are Driven with three time Indy 500 winner Bobby Unser.  Next we had one of the most energetic and inspirational talks ever give at AHTD by Richard Flint, whose topic was “Creating a Presence of Value.”  Friday afternoon workshops were “Understanding the Power of working Together” by Richard Flint, “Successful Sales Force Management” by Paul Pease and “Creating Moments of Magic with Excellence Service” by Shep Hyken.  We concluded Friday’s activities with a fun-filled outdoor reception and Karaoke party. 

Saturday brought delightful weather for 28 golfers, for those that went on a citrus wine tour and for many who decided to lounge around the pool.

We hope to see you next April 2-5 in beautiful Key West, FL.
