Thanks for Attending Fall Meeting 2013 – Nashville
"Being a first timer, I felt the AHTD conference was one of the best industry events I have attended. Aside from being well organized, both the general and workshop sessions were very informative and the peer networking was invaluable.” David Schaefer, ACP Automation, LLC
Thanks to the 350+ meeting and guest attendees who joined us in Tennessee last month. We’ll always remember that Karl Rove kicked off the meeting that was Neil Montgomery’s last conference as AHTD’s president while bringing in John Pirner as our next president. Gaylord Opryland offered a lot of options (and hallways to walk) for our group. Attendees enjoyed varied optional tours in clay target shooting, Nissan plant tour, Nashville city tour and golf. The Spouse/Guest group got to find the bit of country that’s in all of our hearts as they toured the Grand Ole Opry and Barbara Mandrel’s former mansion, The Fontanel. Those that rose early on Saturday morning were treated to a special performance down memory lane by Richard Leigh. What a spellbinding way to wrap up our time in Music City.
The cornerstone of any AHTD get-together is time to network. Our record number attendance could be seen at the Welcome Reception and Product Showcase. We were shoulder-to-shoulder as we learned about the latest products in our industry. We were able to stretch our legs Friday night at the Wild Horse Saloon. Lines were danced, ribs were eaten and business cards were exchanged over cold bottles of beer.
Since we didn’t have formal announcements at our Friday Night party at the iconic Wild Horse Saloon, we’re excited to share the golf event results:
Winning Team (64): Doug Adams, Jim Brys, Cody Miller, and Mark Proud
Most Honest Team (74): Bill Shaw, Dan Swenton, Tom Swenton, and Ken Ferguson
Straightest Drive: Rick Wood
Longest Drive: Mark Proud
Closest to the Hole: Brian Gardner
Longest Putt: Todd Lucich
