Women in Automation October Spotlight
Meet Lillie Deas of EandM
Having worked for family-owned EandM located in Healdsburg, California since she was in high school, Lillie Deas has been in the automation industry for 8 years. She learned the motor repair business during high school and college, repairing and rewinding electric motors. In her current role as Director of Projects, Lillie helps every EandM division by overseeing all aspects of any project, ensuring quality and timely completion. Lillie is proud of her work in 2022 helping with the design and build of the EandM Robot Lab. “It was a fun project that resulted in a great space for our engineers to test and demonstrate applications to customers.” Lillie reports that EandM just wrapped up its vendor-supported Roadshow Tour for 2023, where she was in charge of the in-house-built demos.
Lillie is proud to say EandM is one of AHTD’s founding members. She shared that the ability to connect with others in automation, develop relationships, and exchange information is the most valuable benefit of membership in AHTD. EandM also takes advantage of the training opportunities afforded to AHTD members. To date, EandM has put 4 employees through the leadership program, two employees enrolled for the Future Leaders Charlie cohort and 5 employees signed up for its Delta course. Lillie herself looks forward to attending AHTD’s semi-annual meetings in order to expand her relationships within the industry.
