Women in Automation March '24 Spotlight
Our March AHTD-WIA spotlight is on Angela Fox, Product and Marketing Manager for Cone Drive by Timken, located in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan. Angela’s dynamic personality allows her to be successful in these two very different roles at Cone Drive. Her two positions give Angela the unique opportunity to use both her 16 years of industry-specific engineering experience as well as offering an outlet for her creative energy. As a Product Manager, Angela leads training sessions and works with customers to develop solutions to their gearing and motion control applications. The Marketing Manager side of her role allows Angela to create content and grow brand awareness. Angela enjoys teaching others about the products in a way that creates engagement and was recently responsible for heading up the Cone Drive website redesign.
The most influential person in Angela’s career has been Cone Drive’s Global Director of Strategic Markets, Jacob Randall, who “has taught [her] so much and been very supportive” in allowing Angela the opportunity to explore her unique strengths. Although Angela wanted to be a famous jazz trumpet player in adolescence, when asked what she would be doing if she were not working in this industry, she responded that she would “Hike the Pacific Crest Trail and work toward completing the 'Triple Crown of Hiking"”, documenting all of her hikes to create in others a similar excitement and interest in hiking.
