During Fall Meeting 2020, we introduced this “AHTD Marketing Minute” segment, and have received terrific feedback on the value of these quick, social-media-focussed marketing tips. If you missed seeing the Fall Series, you can read the contents by going to the AHTD website at this link. Check them out to catch up with the Fall Meeting 2020 attendees who learned how take their LinkedIn presence up a notch or two (or 4)!

During the Spring Meeting 2021 Series, I covered:

5. The Benefits of Participating on LinkedIn,
6. Why we should be connecting with people on LinkedIn,
7. Why you should check your “Notifications” tab, and
8. How to Connect with Someone on LinkedIn

I hear from a lot of people that they have set up their LinkedIn profile, but, since it is really just a platform for getting a new job and they are not dissatisfied and looking to find another, they don’t need to spend any time on this Social Media network. Well, I am here to tell you that this is NOT TRUE. While job hunting may have been the original reason for getting you signed up, there are other great reasons to be involved on LinkedIn!

Why Participate on LinkedIn?
  • Find a new job
  • Research about a company
  • Learn about new technologies and new product offerings
  • Platform for sharing industrial solutions demonstrations
  • Learn a business-related skill
  • Networking!
Did you catch that last one? If there is one thing I don’t have to impress upon AHTD members, it’s the power of networking. When we cannot be together in person we can stay connected on LinkedIn!

So find that password (or create a new one for your existing account), click the search box at the top of your LinkedIn page to type in contact names and member companies, and try out some key hashtags to harness the power of AHTD!

Harness the Power of AHTD:
  • Company names
  • Contact names (existing for potential)
  • Hashtags (try #doinghightechbetter)
Please be sure to connect with Leigha, AHTD, and me, Mara Dickson, and follow our community hashtags to watch for our posts on the AHTD LinkedIn page to keep up with the best in industrial automation!

We are #doinghightechbetter, together!
