Optional Activity # 1: Palm Springs Aerial Tram Tour

Aerial Tramway

The journey starts with an awe-inspiring ride up one of the steepest mountains in North America aboard the famous Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Once atop the peak of Mt. San Jacinto, you will find yourself at an 8,516 ft. elevation and in a 13,000 acre Wilderness State Park forest surrounded by a magnificent pine forest and views stretching miles to the Salton Sea. The only tram car in North America that slowly rotates, allowing 360-degree spectacular scenic views during the 12- minute, 2.5 mile tram ride through five eco‐systems. Each tram accommodates up to 70 guests. This tour is not recommended for people who have a fear of enclosed spaces or heights.

Duration: (4) hours including transfer 12:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Price Includes: Roundtrip transportation, tram ride, and all applicable taxes and gratuities.
A minimum of 20 guests is required for this tour.

Attire: Temperatures can be 20-30 degrees cooler at the top of the tram. It is recommended that guests wear layered clothing or have a jacket. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat or also recommended. If guests will be hiking - athletic shoes are suggested. Guests with a fear of heights may not enjoy this activity.

Optional Activity # 2: San Andreas Jeep Eco-Tour - SOLD OUT


Jeep Tour

This educational eco‐tour focuses on the history and legends of the late 19th century mining era, the settlers who came to seek their fortune in this desert wilderness, and the Cahuilla Native American Tribe who lived off the land and made the valley their home. You will wander, explore and take plenty of photos in the recreated Native American Village, while a knowledgeable guide explains what life was really like for the early desert settlers. This tour also includes exploration of steep walled canyons that have been described as some of the most tortured landscape on earth, a classic desert badlands caused by the San Andreas earthquake fault. Your naturalist guide will entertain you with stories about the plants, animals, geology, and history of the California desert.

A minimum of 12 guests is required for this tour.

Attire: Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes with rubber soles. Jeeps are open air, and it can be windy. A jacket or sweater, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are highly recommended. Guests with neck, back, or any injuries, and women who are pregnant, are advised to consult with their doctor prior to this activity.

Optional Activity # 3: Golf -

Join your AHTD colleagues in a friendly round of golf at the La Quinta Dunes Course. This 72-par course, designed by Pete Dye, offers traditional rolling-links style golf with Scottish and Irish flair, characterized by rolling mounds, manicured fairways and thick rough. Length, strength and finesse are key to scoring well on this course, which has hosted the PGA Club Professional Championship, and the Californian State Open.

Greens Fee: $159 inclusive of greens fees, golf cart, tax, and gratuity.
Club Rentals: $85
12:30 p.m. shotgun start.
