Optional Tour: San Antonio at a Glance

Get ready to tour San Antonio, the most visited city in Texas! From modern museums to old-world missions and architectural wonders, this city is bursting with cultural history, character, and charm. No tour of San Antonio is complete without a trip to The Alamo! The San Antonio at a Glance Tour will begin with a self-guided tour of The Mission San Antonio de Valero. From Catholic Mission and home to the compañia volante, to hospital and rebel fortress, you will see this tourist attraction and cultural icon and learn about its important role in the events that led up to its infamous battle.  The At a Glance Tour continues just steps from The Alamo in an area tucked quietly below street level: the San Antonio River Walk. Also known as Paseo del Rio, the San Antonio River Walk's 15 miles of meandering trails and lush landscape is "a marvel of nature and ingenuity" as the nation's largest urban ecosystem. The tour continues as participants travel 1.5 miles of the river aboard a River Cruiser to experience an exciting and entertaining narrative of the rich history of the San Antonio Riverwalk District. This San Antonio experience is not to be missed!
