8:00 to 10:00 a.m. - General Session 1: AI and the Meaningfullness of Industrial Automation Products and Industry
The promise, or threat, of Artificial Intelligence has been greatly hyped over the past few years. But what is it really? What can it do, and where can it make the most difference in a complex business ecosystem? And more to the point, how will we answer those questions in five year’s time? In this keynote, international futurist Ben Hammersley will discuss the state of the art of AI and its related technologies, and show how it has been, and will be, successfully deployed - and how to develop a deep understanding of future technologies, with which to base your own strategies.
10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - General Session 2: Youtility Why Smart Marketing is About Help not Hype
If you’re wondering how to make your company seem more exciting, you’re asking the wrong question. You’re not competing for attention only against other similar products. You’re competing against your customers’ friends and family and viral videos and cute puppies. To win attention today, you must ask a different question… “How can I help?” Youtility will cause you to rethink everything you thought you knew about marketing. Filled with relevant examples, you’ll see why the Youtility system now powers the marketing programs of hundreds of major companies.

OPTION B: Finally! Reverse POS That Works For Everyone!
POS data: Distributors send it to the suppliers, but rarely get anything in return. Manufacturers often do little with the data they receive. Wouldn’t it be great if AHTD could step in and provide benchmarking reports to their members? That capability is closer than you think! Larry White, president of Interlynx, will introduce you to the AHTD sponsored Reverse POS Program. Get in on the ground floor and learn the steps for participation, report suite, and benchmarking insights for the pilot program. At last, make your data work for you!
OPTION C: Roundables!
Take time to join the interactive discussions with your industry peers. AHTD is serving up two discussion topics and who knows where the conversations will go from there. Guided by professional facilitators, the time together is designed to promote sharing and an open forum for question asking. These sessions will require you to sign up for a time in advance. Participation is limited to ensure the best experience.
TOPIC 1: Manufacturer/Channel Relationship Best Practices: What is it that you do to make your relationship with a manufacturer or channel partner work? Share your ideas and best practices with your fellow AHTD members and get new ones!
TOPIC 2: Finance/Value of Money/Best Practices in Business:
How you manage your business’s finances is crucial to your success! Sit down with other AHTD members and learn their best practices and share your own.

8:00 to 9:30 a.m. - General Session 1: Disruptive Leadership: Thriving in an Era of Constant Change
What does it take to be a disruptive leader? Do you need to be a brilliant agitator like Steve Jobs? A driven workaholic with a passion to change the world like Tesla’s Elon Musk? Sure, CEOs like that get a lot of press, but there’s more to success than being loud and charismatic. Truly disruptive leaders are like Master Chefs on a cooking show, always looking for ways to take existing ingredients— the same ones everyone else has access to—and combine them in unique ways. Those new recipes are a type of investment capital: the more you have, the better. Of course, not all of them will succeed. But disruptive thinking and leadership is less about the success of any one idea and more about putting your business in a position where you have more new ideas to spend than your competition does. Most importantly, being a disruptive leader is about creating a culture where everyone values new recipes. Because if you want to build a disruptive organization, you first have to build more disruptive leaders.
10:00 - 11:30 a.m. - General Session 2: Spring Meeting Update from ITR Economics
