Fortress Safety Appoints Tom Crane as New Managing Director
Fortress Safety announces the appointment of Tom Crane as Managing Director, effective 1st October 2026.
Tom joins Fortress from Firetrace (USA), where he most recently served as President and Managing Director. He brings more than 14 years of experience in the safety sector, with a strong track record of leading growth, innovation and customer-focused organisations.
Tom will succeed Pete Browitt, who is leaving Fortress after four years as Managing Director. During his tenure, Pete has played a key role in strengthening the business, supporting growth across international markets, and helping position Fortress for its next stage of development. Upon his departure, Pete will take on a new role and remain within the Halma Group.
The Fortress team would like to thank Pete for his leadership, dedication and contribution over the past four years and wish him every success in his new role.
